About the article
It takes agility and skill to embrace challenges with agility and commitment. But what does this concept mean in practice?
By Marcos Brabo, CSO of GINGA
There are concepts that seem simple, but which carry within them a sophisticated and profoundly Brazilian intelligence. “Gingar” is one of them. More than movement, ginga is about reading context, preparing for the unexpected, and making quick decisions. It is the ability to adapt elegantly to external forces, maintaining a firm purpose and a fluid posture.
In contemporary branding, this combination is gold. We live in times where challenges are constantly changing: people's behavior, culture, technologies, channels, impact measurement. Nothing is static. And when the landscape shifts, brands need to move too, but not just any way. And that's where having flair becomes a strategy.
The market itself recognizes this need. Data from the 17th Annual State of Agile Report indicates that 86% of marketing professionals plan to migrate fully or partially to agile models, seeking greater productivity and responsiveness. McKinsey studies show that agile teams can bring ideas to market in less than two weeks, while traditional cycles can take months. Speed is no longer just an operational attribute; it has become a competitive factor.
Bringing the concept to the world of communication, "gingar" is not about improvising, but about being ready for any direction the challenge may take. This readiness stems from how teams are prepared. Instead of rigid structures, dedicated teams emerge that immerse themselves in the business, understand its codes, anticipate risks, protect consistency, and seize opportunities before they are lost.
Some problems require lean and fast teams; others demand robust, hybrid, multi-faceted groups. This flexibility is not accidental, it's method. It's planning. It's a model built to adapt without losing depth or direction.
And this only works when there's a culture of proactivity. Dedicated teams create enough proximity to understand the client, the market, and the culture with the same clarity. And this combination creates a type of partnership that's very difficult to replicate: a partnership that thinks and acts in sync. We could say here that they "move in unison."
But if it is the natural rhythm that prepares the movement, it is the integrated production that makes it happen.
Today, no idea can stand without understanding how it will take shape. As cultural cycles shorten and movements are born and extinguished in a matter of days, integrating strategy, creation, and production from the outset has ceased to be a differentiator and has become a vital necessity.
When strategy, creation, and production work together, ideas are born with muscle: they are conceived to exist, not just to impress on paper. The close relationship between ideation and execution reduces friction, anticipates obstacles, and ensures that what was imagined is viable in the real world.
Collaborating is more than just speeding up deadlines; it's about ensuring consistency, viability, and cultural relevance. It's about avoiding the gap between what is imagined and what is executed, recognizing that impact requires not only good ideas, but also good decisions about how, when, and where to bring them into the world.
When these three layers – attitude, preparation, and execution – work together, the result is a vibrant, Brazilian, and profoundly effective creative model.
Gingar, in this context, is a form of applied intelligence. It's the ability to combine scenario analysis, team organization, and productive integration so that the response isn't limited to the conceptual plane, but materializes with consistency and impact. Brands that operate this way not only keep up with cultural trends; they participate in them with clarity and direction.
In today's fast-paced world, relevance doesn't stem from haste, but from the coherence between strategy and execution. And it is this coherence that transforms challenge into delivery, concept into reality, and intention into a concrete presence in the world.
